Green Mountain Bicycle Club

Due to CoVID-19, all regular season GMBC events have been temporarily suspended as per recommendations of the CDC, the Vermont Department of Health, and USA Cycling. When the situation improves, we hope to return to our usual schedule. Any rides posted in Events are cancelled until further notice. Please check back as the CoVID-19 situation improves and please continue to support the club by joining and filling out the GMBC Rider Waiver so that you are ready to ride with us when it is safe to do so.

Welcome to the website for the Green Mountain Bicycle Club, the oldest and largest cycling club in Vermont! Our membership includes touring riders, racers, and commuters from beginners to experts. During the cycling season we organize regular training and recreational rides and club races (time trials and criteriums). GMBC takes sharing the road and responsible riding & driving seriously and asks that drivers and bicyclists work together to make roads a safer place. GMBC was founded in the winter of 1970/71 and typically has close to 400 members annually. We would love have you join us on ride!

Our mission:

* Promote cycling for fitness and friendship
* Encourage safe, courteous riding practices
*Organize weekly recreational rides, training rides and competitive events
* Engage in bicycling advocacy at the state and local level

Membership is not required for participation in club events, however membership has benefits and is appreciated. Membership information.

All participants, regardless of membership category must sign a GMBC waiver once per season.
